International Observers Highlight Transparency During Popular Consultation in Venezuela

More than 100 international observers from Brazil, Serbia, El Salvador, Spain, Nicaragua, Turkiye, and Kuwait have attended to the second National Popular Consultation held today in Venezuela.

Felipe PĂ©rez, Salvadoran observer said they “Have made a tour of various municipalities in the region of Caracas, we see the Venezuelan people who have deployed massively on this election day.”

The observer stressed the simplicity of the voting process. “This process in Venezuela is an example for other countries,” he said.

Also, the international observer of Spain Vanessa PĂ©rez said that the popular consultation is “an exercise in democracy never seen, this is the revolutionary approach, that the people decide which projects should be worked on is the democratic process that every country in the world must have.”

On the other hand, in Carabobo state are deployed in various polling stations in the region.

About the international observation in the Consultation day, the Carabobo’s Governor Rafael Lacava said that “This is a very important date for the community. The participation has been extraordinary, here are the international observers so that they can verify this democratic process where we are an example for the world.”

In turn, the Brazilian oberver Simone Magallanes mentioned that Venezuela has the best participatory electoral processes. “We are learning about this popular process, it is incredible how the communes can decide their projects,” she said.
